Brought to you by "The Weekend Winers"

"It's Not About the Wine; Just the Experience."

As a couple of folks who enjoy good wine and a little back roads adventure, we want to share our visits to the wineries nearby. The number of wineries in North Carolina and Virginia continues to grow, and as we travel to as many of them as we can, we'll offer our impressions, and just maybe some information you don't normally find in the brochures. We hope you find Byway & Vine enjoyable, informative, and a place where you can share your experiences too.

Cloer Family Vineyards Grand Opening Friday June 4th

We would like all that have a interest in NC wine to come out this weekend for their GRAND OPENING; Friday June 4th all the fun begins at noon till 5pm, Saturday 11am-5pm.

Tell them you heard about it first from The Weekend Winers

Although the winery has yet to open it certainly has a very inviting appearance with the lake and grove of trees which surrounds it. We shot some photos so you would know what to expect; we certainly hope that you enjoy them.

Below is our recommendation for your journey to Apex, NC, if you are coming from the west to visit the vineyards; it is very scenic once you get of of I 40.

I 40 east to exit 274 on to NC 751and turn right on to 751
After about 8-9 miles turn left on Lewter Shop Rd.
The right on Green level Rd. W, it will be the first road on the right.
After about 2 miles turn right again onto Wimblery Rd.
To finish right on Castleberry Rd after less then a mile.
Go a few hundred feet and the vineyard is on your right at 8624 Castleberry Rd.

Of course, for those of you with GPS;
Latitude: 35.767
Longitude: -78.929
